New Spring 2012 Chacos are Here!
It's that time agian! The Summit's Chaco wall is packed with new styles and colors for spring. We have a great selection of both men's and women's Chacos, so come in and check them out! We will help you find the right pair for your adventurous life.

Keep that body HYDRATED!
Everyone knows that it is important to
drink water...but that doesn't mean we are
always drinking enough. It doesn't matter what you are doing, your body needs water before, during, and after activity to maintain good performance. With warmer days headed our way, even more water is needed for the body to stay hydrated in order to make up for water loss through sweat.
Here at Summit, we have a variety of water bottles and hydration packs to fit your need for hydration in whatever activity you do. One of our most popular choices for a water bottle is the Camelbak better bottle. This particular bottle comes with a straw and bite valve lid creating ease when drinking. After purchasing one of these better bottles, many customers have reported that they actually end up drinking more water than they did before just because they love the bottle! (and they come in kids too!)
If you're particular activity doesn't work best with having to carry around a bottle, you will most likely be better off with a pack. By using this, your hands will be free to use as you climb, bike, run, hike etc. Our hydration packs in the store will hold 2 to 3 liters of water at a time! If you need to be hands free but don't want to wear a backpack, don't fret!...we have waist packs too!

Shipment of the day: MORE CHACOS!
If we have missed helping you get into the pair of Chacos you needed due to lack of size in the right style, then come in soon!! Today we received a new shipment of some of the most supportive, comfortable and durable sandals you will ever wear!
While Chaco also makes shoes and flips, around here most people know them for their sandal line. Many of their sandals use a Vibram sole, (a trusted sole on many hiking and trekking boots) so you know that this sandal is good to go wherever you do! Another great factor to Chacos besides their sole and support is the webbing. When trying on any pair of shoes, the wearer can think that they are too tight, or that their foot is too narrow; by constructing the sandal using Adjust'em Fit adjustable straps, Chaco has solved this problem. The webbing goes through the sandal allowing adjustability for and even better fit! They are good for your feet, comfortable, durable and come in SO many different colors! So what's stopping you? Stars in Summit Shirts!
Just yesterday the new movie Cowgirls 'n' Angels was filming just outside the shop! The scene being shot included the two main characters played by Bailee Madison, recently seen in Just Go With It alongside Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston, and James Cromwell, known for is famous roles in Babe, The Green Mile, and the television series Six Feet Under. Our employees and customers had the opportunity to watch the shoot from our very own store front.
At the end of the day, both Bailee and James became proud owners of their very own Stillwater Summit t-shirt! ...and yes, their pictures with their shirts will be going on our wall! Your picture can too! If you take a picture in your Summit T during your outdoor excursions, we would love to put your photo up in our store. Wet 'n' Wild!
Most of Stillwater Summit's shoppers come into the store looking for gear and apparel for their next camping or climbing trip. Although we made a new addition to our place about a year ago, sometimes customers fail to notice the kayaks hanging at the top of the walls! In the shop we have a selection of recreation kayaks from Perception. Here is what they had to say about their product:

A Jacket for May?!
No matter how much time, a lot or a little, you have spent in Oklahoma, it does not take long to learn how crazy the weather can be here. And yet, even those of us native to Oklahoma continue to somehow be caught off guard by the shifts in sunshine, wind and rain! Now, here we are in the middle of May finding ourselves in temperatures in the low sixties!

Brooks!
Brooks Running has topped the charts with their #1 running shoe, the Adrenaline GTS. The Adrenaline, pictured in the middle of both the men's and women's shoes, is the best stability shoe on the market! For those with normal arches and neutral to mildly overpronating feet, this is the shoe for you.

New Cord!!
Over the past couple of months we have carried locally made survival bracelets in the shop. These bracelets are made of weight bearing paracord, and when needed, they unravel to up to twelve feet long. So not only can you wear them, but in case of emergency they can come undone for various survival and repair uses.
The cord used to make these bracelets is sold right here in the shop. We carry various sizes of cord as well as 1" webbing for all different uses. Today we got in a brand new shipment containing many different colors!!
